Exhaustingly beautiful up to the sparkling wine with strawberries and the view.

For the day we planned a Barcelona tour, but unfortunately the German guide canceled it. In order to get out of the chill mode again, we spontaneously hiked through Blanes, thanks to the nice weather, and walked to the Castell de SantJoan de Blanes and the beautiful botanical garden Jardí Botànic Marimurtra below.
The ascent to the Castell, from Blanes Port, is a change from lazing around on court. Several stages, past strikingly modern fincàs (that's what the Spaniards like to call their house) burn in the thighs, but the all-round view is rewarding.
The watchtower ruins from the 13th century can be accessed free of charge. It has served as a lookout tower for many pirates.
From above you can already see the botanical garden Jardí Botànic Marimurtra, which is beautifully laid out on the rock. Our recommendation! Yes, it's definitely worth it, even with an entrance fee of €8 per person. But pay attention to the opening hours, only open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. (Sat. to 5 p.m.). Once again we were not prepared and were unfortunately kindly asked to leave at 3 p.m. I would have liked to have stayed there longer. In any case, we could build a small picnic with one.
So a nice trip came to an end and it was another 4km to our campsite at the other end of the village. I'm hungry…
